Comprehensive Eye Care of New England

Dr. Elgas opened her private practice in 2008. It’s no coincidence she named her practice Comprehensive Eye Care of New England, (CECNE). After 30 years of experience in the eye care community, she wanted to perform eye exams for her patients that were comprehensive without feeling the pressure of time constraints.

Dr. Elgas has been successful doing this by surrounding herself with highly professional and well-trained support staff. She’s also purchased state-of-the-art testing equipment, such as an optical coherence tomographer (OCT), Humphrey visual field, fundus camera and corneal topographer, that is often only found in large group practices.

CECNE takes care of patients ranging from 7 to 100+ years old. In addition to early detection and management of eye disease, Dr. Elgas and Dr. Carlos are highly proficient in fitting patients with glasses and contact lenses. They pride themselves in their commitment to perfecting eyeglass prescriptions. Liz and Kay, CECNE’s licensed opticians, put the finishing touches on these prescriptions with frames and lens type selections that suit our patients’ specific needs.
